MONEY

It's not glamorous. It's not pretty. It's not fun. It's not creative. It's not ingenious. It's not smart. It's not comical.

It is endearing. It is powerful. It is helpful. It is necessary. It is provision. It is humbling. It is impactful. It is peace-providing.

Christmas Eve

Dempsey is such a roller coaster. That red hair really reveals his personality.

As he was opening gifts tonight he paused after three. He still had
two to go, I think. He didn't want to open anymore because he wanted
to play with the train cars and Hot Wheels he already opened. So, we
let the other gifts sit there while he played with a few toys for
awhile. He finally got around to opening the other gifts but was sad
to not be able to play with them right then and there.

Gifts he got from Granny and Granddad-
3 sets IKEA toy trains, 2 IKEA train tracks, set of Hot Wheels cars.

At dinner I had to play the "If, Then" game to get him to eat. If he
could, this kid would drink soda and not eat his dinner. So, I would
put a bite on his fork, he or I would put it in his mouth, and then he
could have a drink of soda and repeat. It worked. He ate. He drank. He
finished. No dessert but that's because he didn't want anything.

He played and played and played with his trains and cars and couldn't
have cared less if we were in the room.

Dempsey is such a gem. He is what I thought having a boy was going to
be like when I had Sawyer. He is energetic, curious, independent,
capable, smart, inquisitive, and a whole lot of fun. Proud momma.
