So, Dempsey had labs yesterday morning. Bless my husband for taking him so early.
The nurse called with his lab results and here they are:
ANC (absolute neutrophil count): 1800
Platelets: 226
Hemoglobin: 14.2
White Blood Cells: 3.0
ALT: 282 - this is under surveillance ("normal" is 50 and he's been as high as 1,500)
AST" 62
So, we are watching his liver- AGAIN- and I will work to include more detoxifying, liver-supporting foods into Dempsey's diet. His poor little body is just getting a workout, and not the good kind.
I am so tired of these drugs putting such a strain on his organs. Praise God I know WHY his liver is weaker but still... it is NO FUN to know your child is being forced to ingest poisons all in the name of "cure" and "treatment".
Please continue to pray that his journey remains smooth, free of negative side effects, and pray protection over every organ in his little 5 year old body- especially his liver.

I don't know how people have hope without faith in something bigger than science on a journey like this. Breaks my heart.
