MONEY

It's not glamorous. It's not pretty. It's not fun. It's not creative. It's not ingenious. It's not smart. It's not comical.

It is endearing. It is powerful. It is helpful. It is necessary. It is provision. It is humbling. It is impactful. It is peace-providing.

A Little Reprieve

Monday (two days ago) Dempsey had labs. A nurse called later that afternoon to inform us about his results. She said everything looked good except his ANC (immune system). His ANC was 500 and it needs to be at 750 or above to continue is mercaptopurine (aka 6MP)- which is the pill I give him nightly M-F. So, she said to hold off on the 6MP until he starts Delayed Intensification, the next phase, in about 2 weeks.

I am enjoying this right now. I'm sure his ANC is back up above 750 BUT we won't know until the next labs which are on Monday morning. I am taking this time to prime and build up his little body for this next phase.
We have added 1 Salmon Oil Plus to each of his shakes/smoothies to better protect his little heart, which is said to get his hard in this next phase.

Dempsey is enjoying "no pill" every night.

Reality: it's hard to have a break from the nightly chemo pill because you begin to love not poisoning your child and it makes it that much harder to start up again.

Thankfully the Lord is in this with us. Please keep praying. This mama is tired. I'm sure daddy is tired too. We're all just done, ya know? Have to keep on keepin' on though.
