What a fun last little bit of time spent with Dempsey tonight before bed! He was wound up because I was tickling him and messing with him. I would make a sound that resembles suspense or anticipation then declare a body part of his and tickle it. He would giggle that infectious toddler giggle and I'd start giggling too. We did that for a short while and distracted Daddy and Sawyer's reading of a new book.
When Jake took Sawyer to do bed time Dempsey was still in need of unwinding. He was interested in making "circles" in our living room- aka spinning.
So, while he made circles I said the ABCs aloud. At first he was saying them with me but after a few times he was just concentrating on spinning. It was awesome. I wish I had had my phone handy to record this but it was not close by and I didn't want to stop this session of fun with my Dempsey.
When he would finish spinning as I finished the alphabet, I would spread my arms wide and he would run the width of our living room into them and we'd laugh and kiss. Then it would all repeat again.
Heavenly! Just heavenly.
Biggest Need
MONEY
It is endearing. It is powerful. It is helpful. It is necessary. It is provision. It is humbling. It is impactful. It is peace-providing.

On A Walk
Dempsey asked to go for a walk. I said yes. It was quite warm but not too, too bad. He lead us on a journey of lefts.
Sometimes I forget how easy just one child is. Precious time with my baby who is only a toddler according to clothing sizes. In all other respects he's a little BOY. So capable. Smart. Thankfully he's still a love bug too.
